I’ve been working on a strange little project for some time and I figure that I really ought to share it. Most of you are probably aware of what kinds of soundtracks I like. I grew up listening to the synth heavy creepiness of John Carpenter, Riz Ortolani, Fabio Frizzi and Goblin. I always loved how quickly their music could turn from straight out gorgeous and lush to minimal and horrifying.
The result is my mini album Ferox, which I’ll slowly post songs from until I finish it. I got in my head that it might be a departure from my normal stuff, but it may also be a bit fun too. I realize it sounds a bit too clean so I may go back and find a way to scuff it up.
It’s not incredibly serious. It’s a synth heavy imaginary score to my exploitation gore movie that I’ll probably never make. I hope you enjoy. Let me know what you think.
